Asheville and Buncombe County residents can expect a warm, mostly dry week, with temperatures climbing into the upper 70s and low 80s through Friday before scattered showers arrive over the weekend.
The National Weather Service (NWS) issued its forecast Monday afternoon, reporting that Asheville reached a high of 78 degrees Fahrenheit under partly cloudy skies. Overnight lows dipped to 52 degrees. The Asheville Citizen-Times reports that similar conditions should persist early in the week.
