More than a year after Hurricane Helene devastated western North Carolina, Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin visited the region Monday to assess ongoing storm relief efforts. The visit, which included a tour of FEMA operations in Asheville, highlighted the federal government's response to the storms' devastation.
